The One Time Binky

My girls don’t take Pacifiers. I wish they did. I didn’t either and neither do my nieces.  It must be something with our mouths or tongues.  My dentist always tells me I have a strong tongue. ? Anyway, this one day Maddie used a binky for quite I while, I had to document.  I think a binky face is so cute! Especially with those big eyes!

"I LOVE YOU"

One of the GREATEST things in the world is having a child say "I love you," or "I love you too" or send the I love you sign. Anna tends to do the I love you sign before I leave her at preschool. Tonight before bed in her sweetest voice she said it again, "I love you too!" Melts your heart.

The other thing she said tonight is "Isn't it so great to have a baby?!" I answered yes. She Said, "I love baby sis, I would be so sad if Maddie died." I asked her why she would say that. She said, because I love her, she is so cute. I don't want to loose her." I said, "why would you think about that." She said, "because you told me that she could die if she got dangerous things, We have got to keep things off the floor and keep her safe!" I Love Her. Not only did she internalize what I told her, she thought about it deeper and what life would be like if we didn't have Maddie. A sister's bond is irreplaceable!

I love my girls!

Many Hats

Sometimes when I feel overwhelmed by the days that I mostly stay home, I stop and think WHY am I so wore out when I was home ALL day.  My life has nothing really pressing and I don’t have too many deadlines or outside concerns.  I shouldn’t feel too tired at the end of the night…right??

Or should I?

Here are my hats from today. . .

*Scary Dream Calmer * Cuddler * Wife * Milk Cow * Cook * Clothing Stylist * Hair Dresser

*Dentist * Dishwasher * Face Cleaner * Bum Wiper * Diaper Changer * Maid * Driver * Kiss Giver

* Organizer  * Shopper  * Librarian * Tantrum stopper * Nurse * Car Seat Buckler * Psychiatrist

*Landlord * Secretary  * Bath time monitor * Story Reader * Fear Calmer * Listener *

That is a lot of jobs for one person for one day… no wonder I am tired.

The Rest of the Halloween Festivities

LOTS OF FUN EVENTS = LOTS OF PHOTOS

Halloween At School. I got to go and help out by reading Halloween books.  Anna was so funny.  She wanted to sit by me and tried to read the books to them (through memorization).  She was so excited to have Me there.

Papa and Jojo’s for Halloween fun…

Both girls were pumpkins.  This is the best photo I got of them together.  Maddie’s Hat was missing so I put this small one on… it barely fit her head- ha! We played game, ate “witchy- gross-looking” food and had a great time!

Anna plays so independently, sometimes she is a loner.

I made Jell-O Worms.  They were disgustingly yummy.  The kids loved them! I also practiced my royal icing on these cookies.  They are not great by any means, but were fun to experiment, practice and be creative.

On Halloween we went and visited Daddy at Work.  McKay Dee has such a beautiful campus.  It is a perfect place to capture some Fall photos (and now I plan to try to get some better photos in the spring).

It’s  good thing it was just for fun, Maddie’s faces are hilarious and I love how her ear is flopped down. DSC_0613DSC_0618DSC_0624DSC_0622DSC_0628

Anna posed herself… what a cute little witch (who was done with her hat)DSC_0632DSC_0638DSC_0641DSC_0644DSC_0647DSC_0659DSC_0660DSC_0661DSC_0662

Halloween Night…. 1st, our pumpkins…

DSC_0689DSC_0690DSC_0691

I stayed home for the trick or treaters and Dave took the girls.  Anna insisted that Dave wear a costume. Maddie thought the whole evening, including Daddy, was hilarious.  Despite some cold hands she seems to enjoy trick or treating! Anna fell down our neighbor’s stairs and landed right on her face.  It is a little battle wound from a die-hard trick or treater!  She kept saying all night, “I just LOVE trick or treating! It is my favorite!!”
