Then, I realized that there is so much that goes into a name, it has it's own origin and meaning and there are many around the world that could have your same name. However each person makes their name their own. I think we each fit our name and it becomes a bigger representation than just a name. I have loved being "Heidi" all my life and hope Anna will feel the same.

Burton-"Fortified settlement"
Nicknames: Dave, Daveeed, Davey, White bread, Fatkid, Fatty, Texas Wedge, Obeseonekinobi, Tons of Fun, Miner Wedge, Chicks Dig, #31, Burton Lumber, Daddy, Dada, and many more.

What a neat post Heidi! You guys all have great nicknames. We have a bazillion names for Grace too but the real meaning of Grace is "grace of god" and her middle name Jane means "god is gracious" so they intertwine. We thought that was pretty cool. :)
Anna is crawling! Way to go Anna!!! Oh how we try to get Grace to crawl. She crawls backwards all the time and sits and does 360's while still sitting on her bum but she will not crawl forward. I keep telling myself it's okay because I will be a lot busier once she does!
Fat kid? Ok Dave is hardley fat. HIllarious!

Wow! I don't think most people have as many nicknames as you all. . .and I'm glad to see not ALL of Dave's nicknames come from high school!
